For eligibility, you must initially file an Expression of Interest through Skill Selection and be welcomed by the Department of Immigration to apply. Whenever you are welcome to apply for a skilled visa, you should file your application within 60 days, or the invitation will stop. It is important that you have all the necessary documentation arranged to file at the earliest opportunity to receive an invitation. 

To fit the bill for a Subclass 189 visa, you would need to: 

  • File an EOI and be invited to apply.
  • Meet the pass mark in the skilled immigration points test – as of now 65.
  • Age between in the range of 18 and 44. 
  • Have skills in English.
  • Meet health requirements.
  • No police record.
  • This course of action does not need sponsorship by a family member or State/Territory Government.
